Breathable and durable rain trousers with many features - and ski trousers in all sizes. See our large selection, there is a lot to choose from. Trousers are great for rainy weather on hikes or as ski trousers. They provide an extra protective layer and can often be pulled over hiking boots, which is very practical on hikes. What are trousers?

Trousers are waterproof and thin trousers, but so are rain trousers. So what is the difference between rain trousers and trousers? It's a bit like saying, what is the difference between Graasten remoulade and the very cheap First Price or X-tra version. They taste almost the same, are on the same shelf, are often made in the same factory, and the tubes look alike. But there is actually a difference, both in price and content.

Similarly, trousers and rain trousers are very similar. They both sit on the legs, they are waterproof, often made by the same manufacturer, sold in the same places, and often have pockets. So where is the difference. There is no clear line separating them. But still a little bit. Rain trousers are mostly made of fabric that has been treated with something that makes them waterproof. Or made of a material that is waterproof in itself, but not very breathable. Here is the big difference. Trousers, on the other hand, are made of a slightly more luxurious material, often with a Goretex membrane that makes them waterproof and very breathable. They are also much more robust so you will enjoy them for a longer time. On the other hand, they are slightly more expensive than rain trousers.

Trousers on ski and hiking trips

Trousers can withstand being used on both ski and hiking trips. Rain trousers often have to surrender here. On hikes, they are good at keeping water out, as hiking trousers are often not waterproof. They are often made so that they can be unzipped at the bottom and thus pulled over the boots. Anyone who has tried putting on trousers on a hike knows that this is incredibly practical. They are usually thin and lightweight, but still really good for ski trips. They keep moisture and water out while allowing you to breathe. And they give you the opportunity to regulate heat in a layered system.

Although trousers are slightly more expensive than rain trousers, and the difference is not immediately apparent, they are often worth every penny. They are more breathable and last longer. In the end, this can save you money in the long run.
